Week in review
The Week In Review is a snapshot and “one stop shop” of articles we’ve written during the week and other content we’ve found interesting and come across on the internet. The topics will vary but generally should have some linkage and relevance to what we discuss. Perspective and knowledge can provide some wonderful insights and inspiration. Hope you enjoy the spin!
Stuff we found interesting on the web:
- There is a cost to everything in life. Over at Go Curry Cracker a nice little post was constructed about the cost of working one more year. I personally will take note of this.
- Speaking of working, look at how much productivity is lost by the typical worker with just three tasks! We must find a way to work smarter, not harder.
- I’ve said for a very long time one of the biggest injustices we are making in today’s society is not teaching our youth more about personal finance and money. It’s no wonder that people are saddled with debt and not saving for retirement. Perhaps that is part of the ploy? Here are some simple things to do to help reverse the pattern.
- This article is pretty ridiculous. I won’t even waste the energy with key strokes to comment on it. Pure rubbish about the FIRE movement. That is all.
- I love my DJI drone. That’s why it is listed as one of my favorite things. I was a little conservative in my approach to purchasing having never flown one and opted for the Mavic Air but it is surprisingly easy and we’ve created some cool content and memories. It’s a great value for price and quality and super easy to transport and bring pretty much anywhere, which was high on my list. But this rumor has me pretty excited. Take note, Santa!
Suddenly work has kicked into high gear for both Mrs. Spender and I. Travel has been rampant and finding balance in life has been hard to come by. Sadly, when this happens the blog takes a seat in the back burner. This has probably been the most challenging component since we embarked on the journey. This week I had a 21 hour jaunt from Phoenix to Boston and back involving a red eye. That was Tuesday night and it’s Friday and I am still recovering. On Monday I take off for Washington, D.C. and will be back around midnight Wednesday. I’m a firm believer now that the most valuable resources out there are time and data. So with that, to the weekend we go!
