Week in review
The Week In Review is a snapshot and “one stop shop” of articles we’ve written during the week and other content we’ve found interesting and come across on the internet. The topics will vary but generally should have some linkage and relevance to what we discuss. Perspective and knowledge can provide some wonderful insights and inspiration. Hope you enjoy the spin!
Stuff we found interesting on the web:
- Good news if you are a Vanguard fan. They are cutting the prices for a number of mutual funds and ETF’s.
- In my opinion, creating your nest egg at age 31 is the wrong approach. I gently tried to reinforce this in my post, “Save early, splurge later”.
- Comparing yourself to others isn’t something I would typically promote but if you wanted to get a benchmark of the average 401K balance by age it is totally cool.
- I know it is only day 3 of the New Year but who wants to quit their job already? Haha. Geographic arbitrage might make it more of a possibility than you think! Some usual suspects in here but definitely a few places I wasn’t aware of.
Happy New Year, everyone! 2019 seemed to go by in a flash. Hard to believe we are approaching the one year mark of when we jumped into this whole blogging thing. Definitely hasn’t progressed the way we envisioned. Life got in the way with an unexpected job change with Mrs. Spender and parenting our little guy, but we still had fun. One of the goals is to do a better job at content creation in 2020. Over at the farm (work) Q1 is shaping up to be quite the doozy – lots of travel and big objectives to tackle so here’s to hoping that won’t get in the way…one can dream, right?
