Week in review
The Week In Review is a snapshot and “one stop shop” of articles we’ve written during the week and other content we’ve found interesting and come across on the internet. The topics will vary but generally should have some linkage and relevance to what we discuss. Perspective and knowledge can provide some wonderful insights and inspiration. Hope you enjoy the spin!
Stuff we found interesting on the web:
- Is there going to be a recession or not? Seems despite the consistent volatility and the fed cutting rates yet again Wednesday the whispers have faded a bit. But if you still have some concerns (and I’m sure there are plenty that do) give this one a read.
- A recession might not be the perfect time to retire which is why you should probably start thinking ahead.
- Unless you’ve been under a rock the last several weeks the hot topic has been the atrocious officiating in the NFL. Well, that and the apparent S&P 500 index bubble. I’ve read both sides of it and there are some convincing arguments but I tend to think we are still aways off. There are plenty of views that have been written on it recently but I thought Mr. Tako did a nice job outlining his stance on it.
- Screen time. It will be the death of us. We’ve all heard the warnings. Then you see this. And it’s like, wow, what a sad and lonely world we find ourselves in.
Well, where has September gone? This morning we woke up to a hint of crispness in the air, which is a big deal for us who live in Arizona. We actually opened the windows. What is window weather you ask? 71 degrees! I’m not joking. After a solid 3 months of triple digits, often 110 degrees and above, 70 feels a little chilly. Bonus: it helps with the sky high air conditioning bills. I guess fall is almost upon us which sadly means pumpkin everything fever is here as well. It’s gotten a little out of control in recent years. Thanks for reading and enjoy the weekend!
