4 Random Things We Did This Weekend

A little of this and a little of that…..here are the 4 random things we did this weekend:
1) Saver and spender alone time
Last year on our wedding anniversary, we made a pact with one another to have one date night a month and for the most part, we’ve done a pretty good job keeping to it. Saturday night we ventured out in our neighborhood with all the Spring Training tourists and enjoyed a few adult beverages.
2) planted the spring/summer garden
Spring has sprung in Arizona. The wildflowers are blooming and the days are getting warmer so it was time to plant the new garden. The whole family helped in digging up the kale, lettuce and arugula we enjoyed all winter long, and into the ground went peppers, tomatoes, squash and melon.
3) Made corn beef for st. patty’s day
It was St. Patrick’s Day this weekend, so ‘Mrs. Spender’ cooked a traditional Irish meal of corn beaf and cabbage. Found a great crockpot recipe on the Cookie Rookie. We learned that corn beef actually has nothing to do with corn, but rather salt. In case you wanted to know….
4) drank a green beer
And what St. Patty’s Day would be complete without a green beer!!
